We've seen some nice real estate activity in Owatonna this spring and early summer. It's been a good time for buyers to find terrific values for homes in Owatonna. Here are the statistics for Owatonna's year-to-date activity through August 5th:
Sold 181 homes at an average sale price of $168,224 within an average market time of 137 days. Houses are selling for an average of 97 percent of the last list price and 93 percent of the original list price.
We currently have 212 homes for sale in Owatonna at an average list price of $185,577 and they've been on the market for an average of 152 days.

Personal
My husband, Greg, and I have been a part of the Owatonna community since 1986. During that time I've found that Owatonna is a wonderful place to live, work, play, and raise a family. We are very fortunate to have terrific schools, plenty of recreation available through our parks, and a quality of life that can't easily be duplicated.
I've been involved with a variety of different community organizations, and I think you'll find that there is something available for every interest. I currently serve on the Steele County United Way Board and am part of the Community Investment process. As a member of the Owatonna Ambassadors I have the chance to meet other business owners and managers who live and work in our area, and I've served on the Owatonna Chamber Board of Directors. I've also enjoyed volunteering as a Sunday school teacher at Associated Church, a school site mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and have also served on their local board of directors. In addition, I have a strong interest in personal financial management and have participated through Steele County Extension as a credit consultant to families in need of assistance.
As a parent of two children (now teenagers) I was involved as the Vice President of Wilson School's PTA, Vice President of the Owatonna Girl's Hockey Association, and a volunteer parent mentor working with the Owatonna Exchange Center. As an active volunteer it's been such a reward to meet so many people who are committed to making a positive difference in lives of the people within our community.
